Terms of Use
A few practical rules for using Voton and looking after your writing.
Last updated: September 2026
The service
Voton is a free, browser-based writing workspace. It requires a modern browser with local storage available and does not require an account. You may use the web app for your own writing and organization. Features and availability may change over time.
Your content and backups
You keep the rights to the content you create or import. Your workspace is stored in the browser profile you use, not in an account that Voton can restore. Export your data regularly, especially before clearing site data, resetting a browser, or changing devices. Voton cannot recover content lost from your browser.
Responsible use
Use Voton lawfully and respect the rights of others when adding content. Do not try to interfere with the site or other visitors' access to it. You are responsible for the files and links you choose to import or open.
Availability and responsibility
Voton is provided free of charge. We aim to keep it working, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, support, or that browser storage will never be lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.
