Where are my notes stored?
Your pages, folders, and editor content are stored in this browser's local database. They are tied to this browser profile and device, rather than a Voton account. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the workspace and start writing without signing up.
Can I use my notes on another device?
Yes, by moving a backup yourself. Export your workspace as a JSON file in Settings, or export a single page through Page options → Export as JSON. Import the file in the other browser. Voton does not sync devices automatically.
What if I clear my browser data?
Clearing Voton's site data can remove your workspace from this browser. Export a backup before clearing data or changing devices; Voton cannot restore notes from a server.
What can I import?
Merge a Voton workspace backup or page JSON export into your workspace, or import a Markdown file to create a new page from it.
